The ALSI/Palin Sludge Consolidation System employs the Patented Vertical Separation Design. The system is designed to remove paint sludge from floor type spray booths as well as central reservoir systems. Although the ALSI/Palin System replaces conventional filters, no filter media is actually used thus effectively reducing operating costs! Consolidation of the paint sludge is accomplished by coordinating the mechanical system with the operational parameters of the chemical detackification program.

The system is compatible with suspension/flotation chemical programs and uses a modular approach to handle systems of varying sizes. Each module can operate independently permitting volume handling flexibility and system back up. The Design allows floatable paint sludge to accumulate on the surface.

Initial dewatering is achieved by permitting a blanket of paint sludge to form on the surface of the tank module. Variable sequence timing of the scraper transfers the paint sludge to a container for disposal or to a secondary dewatering device.

Clarified spray booth water from the lower portion of the ALSI/Palin Consolidation Unit is continually returned to the spray booth reservoir by gravity transfer, thereby returning and particles that tend to settle to the reservoir for recycling.
